“Sri Lanka – in Sanskrit means “resplendent country” – holds the promise of unique beauty. Early naval explorers
praised this appealing island and gave it poetic names like “Pearl of the Indian Ocean” or “Island of the Gods”.
Considering the reputation that this place has, it’s a must for all travel enthusiasts to discover this paradise, with its palms swaying in the breeze along mile-long beaches, dense jungle forests, tea plantations and rich green rice
paddies. Thousands of years of history have left their traces on the island. The many statues of Buddha and other
deities, temples and monasteries are expressions of deep religiosity. In addition to cultural wealth and lush
vegetation full of exotic fruits and flowers, a huge diversity of wildlife captivates visitors, and not only on
adventurous safaris in the national parks”.
